1. About Merit Bold

Merit Bold operates as a commercial trades and maintenance opportunity network. We connect UK businesses with independent commercial contractors for plumbing, electrical, maintenance, and related trade services. Merit Bold is not a contractor, employer, or trade service provider.

2. Nature of Our Service

Merit Bold introduces commercial opportunities between businesses and independent contractors. We facilitate connections and provide a platform for contractor discovery and engagement. We do not:

Directly provide trade or maintenance services
Employ or subcontract any contractors
Guarantee the availability, quality, or outcome of any work
Act as a party to agreements between contractors and businesses

3. Contractor Independence

All contractors within the Merit Bold network operate as independent businesses. They maintain their own certifications, insurance, and commercial responsibilities. No employment, partnership, or agency relationship exists between Merit Bold and any contractor.

4. Business Responsibilities

Businesses using our platform to find contractors are responsible for:

Verifying contractor suitability for their specific requirements
Agreeing terms, pricing, and scope directly with the contractor
Conducting appropriate due diligence where necessary
Ensuring their own compliance with relevant regulations

5. Contractor Responsibilities

Contractors registered on our network agree to:

Maintain accurate and current profile information
Hold valid certifications, insurance, and trade registrations
Respond professionally to opportunities
Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
Notify Merit Bold of any changes to their certification or insurance status

6. Payments & Subscriptions

Where applicable, contractors may subscribe to Merit Bold services. Payment terms are set out at the time of subscription. All fees are quoted in GBP and are subject to applicable VAT. Subscription terms, including cancellation and refund policies, are communicated at the point of purchase.

7. Limitation of Liability

Merit Bold provides an introduction and opportunity platform. To the fullest extent permitted by law:

We are not liable for the quality, safety, or legality of work performed by contractors
We are not liable for disputes between businesses and contractors
Our liability is limited to the fees paid for our services
We do not guarantee uninterrupted service availability

8. Intellectual Property

All content, branding, and materials on the Merit Bold website are the property of Merit Bold and may not be reproduced without permission.

9. Service Availability

We aim to provide reliable access to our platform but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of our service with reasonable notice.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
